Funeral services for Drumright resident, Sharon Blackwell, will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright. Dr. Gary Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Sharon Lee Blackwell was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 13, 1946 to Jimmie Blackwell & Junia (Wood) Blackwell. She passed from this life in Tulsa on November 24, 2019 at the age of 73 years, 9 months, & 11 days.

Sharon was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1964 graduate of Drumright High School. In high school, she was a member of the cheerleading squad & enjoyed music & dancing. Sharon had lived the majority of her life in this area. She had an outgoing personality & was a “people person”. She had worked for several years at Steer Inn in Cushing & most recently at Williams Discount Foods in Drumright. She was also a caregiver, taking care of her mother & later her sister Beverly. For the past 7 years, her failing health had made her more dependent on others to care for her. Later in life she rededicated herself to her Lord & Savior & would attend church with her mother. She is preceded in death by her FATHER: Jim Blackwell; & her SISTER: Beverly Vassar.

Her remaining family includes her MOTHER: June Blackwell of Cushing; her CHILDREN: Connie Geresi & husband Rob of Stillwater – Brian Endicott & wife Shelley of Drumright – Jayne Cooper & husband Jeff of Drumright; GRANDCHILDREN: Jared & Brittany Endicott of Cushing – Aldin Irwin of Stillwater – Tyler Endicott of McCloud – Kendall Irwin of Oklahoma City – Michael Vann of Tulsa – Nate Endicott of Drumright; NIECE: Nicci Whidby of Yale; NEPHEW: Derek Vassar of South Carolina; GREAT Nieces & Nephews, SEVERAL Cousins, & NUMEROUS other relatives & loving friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Porta Caeli House for the loving care that Sharon received in her final days.
