Loretta Belle Griffin, 73, of Rivesville, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born July 20, 1946, in Grant Town, a daughter of the late Wilmer Waugh, Sr. and Oleda Harris Waugh.
Loretta worked Fairmont General Hospital, where she was an LPN nurse. She loved her dogs, especially Lucy and liked being at home.
Survivors include her children: Sherri Griffin and companion (Craig) of Ohio, Melissa (William) Clark of Barrackville, and Robert (Marie) Griffin, Jr.; grandchildren: Charles Hayes, Tara Watson, Brandy Liggett, Daidra Redmond, Logan and Amber Williams, Michael and Sean Donovan, Jimmy King and companion (Michael Hunter), Danielle Goff and Nick, and Robert “Hammie” Griffin; great grandchildren: LaLeighonnah and Kainen Goff and several other great grandchildren; step sisters: Norma Harris of Parrish Run and Nora Huff of Rivesville; brothers: Wilmer “Junior” Waugh of Rivesville and bob Whittacker of Alabama.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Griffin, Sr. Dec. 18, 2010; 2 children: Robin Donaven and Tricia Griffin King, a grandson: Jamie Lee King, step mother: Marjorie Waugh, a brothers-in-law: Jody Huff, Jack Harris, and June Whittacker; a sister-in-law: Judy Waugh.
