John Bunch, 79 of Pipe Creek, TX was called home to be with the Lord, on October 10,2019.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Hereford, TX.

John Richard Bunch was born in Amarillo, TX on February 10, 1940 to Lile and Ruby Bunch. John grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1959. John attended Texas Tech University on a scholarship in Livestock Judging.

John was President of Kids, Inc. of Hereford and coached for 20 years. He served on the Regional Board of Babe Ruth Baseball Association, President of Hereford Jaycees, State Vice President of the Texas Jaycees, Past Master of Hereford Lodge No. 849, President of King's Manor Founder's Board and cooked 17 years for the Founders Barbecue, President of the Elks Lodge, on many boards of First United Methodist Church, President of Ceta Canyon Board, on the Garrison & Townsend Board and President of the Pendaries Lot Owners Association. John was active in 4th day events of Walk to Emmaus. He also coached Little Dribblers. John enjoyed fishing, cooking, RVing, woodworking and working with kids- all in service to the Lord. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents Lile and Ruby Bunch, his brother O.L. Bunch and sisters Bessie Sharpe and Merle Underwood.

John is survived by his wife, of 51 years of marriage, Joy of Pipe Creek, TX, sons Kevin Bunch and wife Cathy of Hereford and Chet Bunch and wife Jeanette of Pipe Creek, daughter Holly Wallace and husband Don of Amarillo, grandsons Hadley Bunch and wife Morgan of Farwell, Brant Bunch of Lubbock, and Nolan Bunch of Pipe Creek, granddaughters Caitlin Lamberson and husband Stephan of Amarillo, Megan McElroy and husband Reece of Tulsa, Ok, and Hannah Bunch of Pipe Creek, and great-grandson Benton Bunch of Farwell.
