Sam Richard Dana, age 71, departed this life on August 27, 2003 to join his sweetheart Lillie, beloved wife of 48 years. Born September 20, 1931 in Farmington, Utah to Oscar Smith Dana and Mary Elizabeth Prince Dana. Married Ellen Brayan, later divorced. Married the love of his life, Lillian Joan Osness, March 5, 1955. She passed away June 21, 2003. Big Sam worked for the Laborers Union 297 for several years. He also tried his hand at driving a semi truck, taking his wife or son Glen on many a haul. He then worked several years for Core Cut Inc. before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling to the White Hills Retirement Community in Arizona to visit his mom and friends. He also looked forward to the annual Prince Family Reunion at the Valley of Fire. A great joy to both Sam and Lillie was breeding their many Yorkshire terriers and sharing them with family and friends. Survived by his children, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister, and brother. Preceded in death by parents and step father Hank Nevius, daughter Deanna Mago, son Sam R. Dana Jr.
