1954 - 2014
Kathleen Bowen, 59, of Kenosha returned to the loving God and Goddess on Feb. 28, 2014.
Kathy was born on July 2, 1954 in Newport, R.I., the daughter of John and Marjorie (Polzin) Bowen. She graduated from Tremper in 1972 and achieved her nursing degree in 1990 from UW-Milwaukee. Kathy was employed with the 128th Air Refueling Wing-Milwaukee for 21 years.
She obtained the title of Major with the Air National Guard.
Kathy was a talented artist and a part of the Kenosha Arts community.
She loved walking along Lake Michigan. Her hobbies included, beading, knitting, crocheting and being with her cats.
She practiced the Wiccan Way. Blessed Be.
She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and cats.
Survivors include her father, John Bowen and step-mother, Cynthia of Washington Island, Wis.; a sister, Doreen, (husband) Andrew Ryan of Virginia Dale, Colo.; a brother, Brian Bowen of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; a step-sister Heather and (husband) Brian Harden of Greenfield, Mo.; a step sister, Julie Anderson, Cindra and (husband) Tom Hokkanen of Washington Island Wis.; a step sister, Kathy and (husband) Tom Hoy of Green Bay, Wis.; a niece, Winter Whiterose Ryan of Colorado; and nephews Aaron and Anthony Ryan of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie and stepfather, Walter Lindeman. Also a nephew, Ian Ryan of Costa Rica.
A May memorial gathering will be held in Kenosha.
