Velma E. Stubblefield, age 84 of Lafayette, TN passed away on Sunday, July 8TH, 2007 at Macon County General Hospital.

Velma Stubblefield was born on April 14th, 1923 in Macon County, TN to the late Marshall and Melvina (Russell) Kirby. Besides her parents, husband, Lester D. Stubblefied, and brothers: Dee, Bee, Clay, and Zollie Ray Kirby and sisters: Moline Ellis, and Betty Lou Sneed preceded her in death. She was a Homemaker, Caregiver, worked for Imperial Reading Garment Company for 15 years and retired from Carter Automotive Products Corporation. She was a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ.

She is survived by, sons: Ronnie (Sandra) Stubblefield of Portland, TN and Lonnie (Pam) Stubblefield of Lafayette, TN, daughters: Betty (Johnny A.) Draper, and Bonnie Roddy all of Lafayette; brother: Bradley Kirby of Lafayette; sisters: Robbie Ellis of Whiteland, IN, and Juwiona Young of Franklin, IN; grandchildren: Robin Stinson, Ashley Stubblefield, Johnny D. Draper, Jimmy Lane Draper, Jason Lynn Draper, Jarrad D, Draper, Robert Chad Roddy, and Lonnie Dustin Stubblefield, Great-Grandchildren: Jackie, Garrett, and Emmalee and 2 Step-Grandchildren.

Johnny D., Jimmy Lane, Jason Lynn, Jarrad D. Draper, Robert Chad Roddy, and Lonnie Dustin Stubblefield served as pallbearers.

Interment followed in the Walton Cemetery.
