John Lindley, long time businessman, passed away on November 21, 2019 at his home in Boise.
Albert John Lindley was born on July 21, 1940 to Albert Lee Lindley and Florence Mildred See in Idaho Falls, Idaho. John grew up in the Idaho Falls and Firth area. He attended school there and at the University of Idaho in Moscow.
In 1959 he married Merna Baird from Goshen, Idaho. They were married in Basalt, Idaho and lived in Idaho Falls for the next 25 years. In 1985 he moved his family to Boise where he lived for the rest of his life.
John owned and managed a construction company for most of his life. He also started a clothing manufacturing business in the late 1970's. The company sold wholesale and retail bridal and prom fashions. Also shipping to other retail stores throughout the United States for many years.
John is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mildred Lindley.
John is survived by his wife Merna and their six children, Michelle Lindley George, Johnny Albert Lindley, Tamra Lindley Taylor, Sandra Lindley, Spencer Jerry Lindley and R.J. Lindley, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr. in Garden City. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Bowman Funeral Parlor. A committal will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
