SCOTT “RED” BRADY, 56, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 22, 2019 at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, officiated by Mr. Ken Renkes. A visitation will precede the service, from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. A memorial to Rock River Hospice Home has been established.
Scott was born May 20, 1963, in Morrison, to Roger M. and Mary Jo (Port) Brady. He was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a 1981 graduate of Morrison High School. He attended Joliet Junior College and in 1984 he received an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. Scott worked as a sous-chef in many fine restaurants in Ohio, Florida, Texas, Illinois and Iowa. He also worked for APG in Morrison. Scott enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Roger (Nancy) Brady of Erie, PA; one sister, Jane Brady of Morrison; two brothers, Craig (Becky) Brady and Steve Brady, both of Morrison; one nephew, Matthew Brady of San Antonio, TX; two nieces, Shayna Brady of San Antonio, TX and Stephanie Miles of Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo, and his grandparents.
