A longtime resident of Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Louis Taylor Harris Sr. and Bertha Mae Turner Harris. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First Pentecostal Church in Durham and was a retired investigator for GTE.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Gray Rock Methodist Church by Rev. David Edwards. Burial will be in Gray Rock Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow in church fellowship hall.
Surviving are a son, Eddie Warren White (Barbara) of Creedmoor, her grandchildren who were the love of her life, Gina Byrd (Roger), Robin Midyette (Michael), Dana Edwards(David) , all of Creedmoor, seven great grandchildren, Morgan, Macy, Ty, Hope, Christian, Shayne and London.
She was preceded in death by her husband E.W. White, a sister, Esther Lovell. brothers, L.T. Harris, Paul Harris, Sam Harris and William (Blue) Harris.
Christmas was her favorite season. In honor of her, poinsettia flowers are the “tribute” flower of choice.
