Rebecca Diane "Becky" Martin-Fisher was born in Jackson, Mississippi to Charlene Thomas-Martin and W.D. Martin. Family members include her siblings Beverly (1957), Jerry (1958), Andy (1959), Deborah (1960) and Barbara (1962).

She always had a love of gospel and country music and played trumpet in The Carthage High School Tiger Band. She and best friend Angela Quick-Kuntz were never far from each other.

After graduation she continued her education with a Nursing Degree in 1981 from Holmes (MS) Community College.

She and husband Don Fisher loved travel, with her extra emphasis on shopping, planting yellow roses and feeding her hummingbirds. They also enjoyed the casinos in Mississippi traveling from top to bottom in search of the best amenities and buffets. Cave City, Arkansas was also a frequent site of visitation.

Becky loved Jesus and spreading HIS gospel to family and friends in person and also on Facebook.

A memorial service in her honor was held on June 13th, 2017 at Sebastapol Baptist Church, presided by Bro. Andy May, former Pastor-Trinity Baptist Church (Carthage, MS). Her ashes were scattered at her favorite destination, the Gulf of Mexico. A portion of her ashes were also placed between her mother and older sister's tombstone in Reformation Cemetery. The Angel that marks the spot was placed there by Becky as her mother's marker was being made.

A long illness caused her to get to Heaven much sooner than she expected. She is survived by husband Don Fisher, sister Deborah (son Nick), brother Andy (Debbie-sons Drew & Dusty) and Jerry (son Chris, daughters Candice & Kendra-deceased), son Cory, grandson Colby, step-daughter Amy Fisher-Duncan (Mark) and step-grandchildren Courtney, Shelley & Marcus. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Becky is predeceased by stepson Wade Fisher, her mother, father and sisters Beverly and Barbara.
