Barbara was born in Mississippi to Henry B Husbands and Reitha Flynt Husbands in 1938. She graduated from Provine High School, Jackson, Mississippi in 1956. She married Don Fields in 1957. They were the parents of two children. Barbara worked in banking industry for over 54 years.
She was a member of Brilliant Freewill Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She taught young people and most recently a two year old. She was also an Eastern star.
Barbara has two children, four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two brothers, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Imogene Grace, brother Danny Husbands, and step mother Carolyn Husbands.
Funeral services were held Tuesday Nov. 26th at 5 pm at Bowen Funeral Home with the Revs. Greg Webb and Byron Kimbrell officiating.
She will be greatly missed.
