Betty graduated from LaMoille High School, married William Grant Walters on November 26, 1961 in LaMoille, and raised her three daughters in LaMoille. She had successful and valued 20 plus year career at Citizens Bank in Princeton. Throughout her life Betty loved to sew, read inspirational works, travel and spend time with her family. Church and worship were important she was an active member of Clarion Lutheran Church in LaMoille for more then 50 years. When she moved to St. Charles, IL in 2000, she became an active member of Hosanna! Lutheran Church, where she was part of Stephen Ministry and bible study groups.
She is survived by her loving husband William; three daughters Bonnie (Joseph) Kain, Becky (Dennis) Abella and Brenda (David) Bergeson; five grandchildren, Bridgette (Aaron) Treske, Grant and Lily Abella, Sarah Kain and Benjamin Bergeson; one great-grandson, Elijah Treske; and her sister Beverly Faber.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Ardell Stuepfert.
Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 25, 2019 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Hosanna! Lutheran Church 36W925 Red Gate Road St. Charles, IL. Interment will follow in Clarion Cemetery LaMoille, IL.
