Today (December 2019):
This was my Grandfather. May he rest in eternal peace. I love him, though I've never met him. He was a seargeant in WW2. He is survived by 6 of his 7 sons and daughters, and 5 of his grandchildren. He was a loving and caring husband and father to his wife and children.

Obituary (May 1971):
Alfred M. Dilks, 62, of Hazel Ave., Newfield, died yesterday in Bridgeton Nursing Home after a long illness.
A Newfield resident most of his life, he was a native of Franklinville. He was formerly employed by the Edward Campbell Block Co., and was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine; eight sons, Alfred, serving in Vietnam, Edward, Roy, Terrance, Chester, Michael, Timothy, and Samuel; two daughters, Sandra and Joan, all at home; a brother, Louis of Springfield, Mass., and three sisters, Mrs. Ann Laury Huff of Newtonville, Mrs. Isabelle Bobby of Paulsboro and Mrs. Helen Clark of Newfield.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Potter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Panico of Newfield United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Newtonville Cemetery.
