Evelyn Amelda “Mel” Shivers Moody, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at her home in Terry. Visitation will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, 11am until the 12noon funeral service. Interment will follow at Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland.
Mrs. Moody was born in Columbia, MS to Howard L. and Earlene M. Shivers. She was a longtime resident of Ridgeland, MS and current resident of Terry, MS. Mrs. Moody loved to read, crochet and fish.
She is preceded in death by her father, Howard L. Shivers and her husband Charles P Moody.
Survivors include her mother, Earlene M. Shivers; son, Darell H. Moody and wife Jacqueline; daughter, Heather D. Chambliss and husband Harvey; grandchildren, Kristopher A. Moody, Sara Higgins, Erin Haley; great grandchildren, Skye different, Mason Higgins and Issabella Gilbert.
