He was a 2005 graduate of Long Lake Central School.
In 2005 he enlisted in the United States Army.
Upon his honorable discharge in 2018 he began a career working for the United States Government in the private sector for Concord Crossroads as an Anti-terrorism Officer.
Joshua’s hobbies included ice hockey, soccer, fishing, snow boarding and snowmobiling.
He was predeceased by a brother, Dustin N. Young an aunt, Karen Norton, and grandfather Edward J. Fitzgerald.
Survivors include his mother, Kathleen Fitzgerald-Rasmussen; three sisters: Tanya S. (Christopher) Hotaling of Cicero, NY, Trina E. Young of Marcellus, NY, Alicia L. Clark of Tupper Lake; Grandmother Ruth J. Fitzgerald, nieces Kailey and Natalie, nephews Matthew, Brendan, Noah and Peyton.
