Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at 2:00PM at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, IL. with Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. Full military rites will be accorded after services. A visitation will be held from 11:00-2:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in Keith’s name may be made to Flanagan Rehab and Health Care Center.
Keith was born on July 12, 1940 in Pontiac, IL. a son of Myrtle Thompson Hamilton. He married Sandra Funk Carls on October 2, 1993 in the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. She survives in Cornell, IL; also surviving is one brother: Neil Hamilton of Owego, NY. Four children: Debra (David) Haag of Pontiac, IL, Troy Hamilton of Pittsburgh, PA, Ty (Kristi) Hamilton of Seneca, IL and Kendra (Glen) Elberson of Elwood, IL; five grandchildren: Lisa Bailey of Pontiac, IL, Rachel (Bret) Weber of Pontiac, IL, Sarah Haag of Pontiac, IL, Alyssa Elberson of New Lenox, IL and Cooper Hamilton of Seneca, IL; three great grandchildren: Zoey Weber, Russell “Punky” Bailey and Noble Weber.
Keith was educated in Pontiac schools and was a semi driver for 43 years. He served our country in the US Army form 1957-1960 stationed at Thule Air Force Base in Greenland. He was also assigned to the AASHO Test Road in Ottawa, where he drove “43,000 miles and never moved an inch”
