James Joseph Kent of Davison, formerly of Flint and Lapeer, passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, in Grand Blanc. James was born in Flint on Feb. 18, 1936, son of the late Thomas J. and Loretta (Ethier) Kent. He married Jean Ann McWhirter on Nov. 12, 1960, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint. James retired from General Motors in 1996 after 30 years of service and also worked for Hamady Brothers. James is survived by his wife, 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Kent, Jr.
