Melissa Samone Huffman, 48, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Melissa was born on August 3, 1971, in Paragould, Arkansas, to James “Jimmy” and Linda Kay Cox Morgan.

On January 27, 2007, Melissa married the love of her life, Monty Huffman. They were married for twelve years. Melissa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She was a member of the Trinity Fellowship Church, in Pocahontas.

Melissa is preceded in death by her father, James “Jimmy” William Morgan; brother, Darryck Williams; stepfather, Duell Avery; and stepfather, Tom Davis.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Monty Huffman, of Pocahontas; mother, Linda Kay Brown, of Pocahontas; sons, Cody (Melissa) Huffman, of Pocahontas, and Zachary (Megan Johnson) Huffman, of Pocahontas; daughters, Kristen (Andrew) VanBrook, of Pocahontas, Megan (Kenny) Cole, of Walnut Ridge, and Ashli (Blake) Clements, of Pocahontas; brothers, Frank (Krystal) Lange, of Paragould, Keith (Lauren) Morgan, of Paragould, David Davis, of Kennett, Missouri, Vince (Tabitha) Avery, of Pocahontas, Dale (Lisa) Avery, of Maynard, Pete (Angie) Avery, of Russellville, and Dan (Laura) Avery, of Pocahontas; sisters, Crystal (Shawn) Alvord, of Paragould, Twana (Brian) Ketcherside, of Paragould, Loretta Peoples, of Cherokee Village, and Gale Ray, of Maynard; grandchildren, Breyden, Thai, Paetyn, Malachi, Blaine, Johnny, Alexander, Noah, Dakota, and Beau; stepmother, Teresa Holt, of Paragould; father-in-law, David Huffman, of Pocahontas; mother-in-law, Helen Huffman, of Pocahontas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
