Anna Edith Bivins, 92, of Louisville passed away on Wednesday November 20 2019. Born on January 21, 1927 in Neafus, KY to the late Henry and Gertha (Carter) Embry.

She was a retired employee of General Electric where she worked for 32 years, and was a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Porter, Walton, Paul, Noel, and Brent Embry; sisters, Faustine Cooper and Carmen Slaughter.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Joel Clifton Bivins; children,Shari Mattingly (James), Terry Embry, and Eric Bivins; step children, Marvin and Tim Bivins; sisters, Alene Baker and Nina Crume; a brother, Wendell Embry (Betty); grandchildren, Joel, Victoria, Kristen, Kayla, Kacie, Caleb, and Luke Bivins, Chris and Nolan Mattingly, Rachel and Tony Embry; and a great grandchild, Jayden Allen.

Funeral service for Mrs. Bivins will be held at 11 am Saturday with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 pm.
