He pastored at Wolflake Baptist Church in Wolflake, Indiana for eight years before serving ten years at Grace Baptist Church in Fraser, Michigan.
For twelve years Frederick worked as a clerk for Chrysler traveling hundreds of miles weekly with forty stops daily.
He spent time at two churches developing visitation programs for them, Covenant Baptist Church of Detroit, MI, and First Baptist Church of Mt. Clemens, MI.
He was a model railroader and often used it as an instrument for the introduction of Jesus to young and older participants in the hobby.
He is the author of two books: Opposite Poles and a devotional on the book of Ephesians called, Orbited in Heavenly Places. A third book, Pondering Life’s Greatest Question, had begun when Lewy Body Dementia attacked his body.
Together they had 4 children; an infant son (with Jesus), Paul (Diane), Sally (Gary), and Brian (Julie), 7 grandchildren; Joshua (Caroline), Cheryl (Ryan), Cindy, Paul II, Alycia (Eric), Charles, and Mitchell, and great-grandchildren; Summer, Autumn, and Makayla, Kiralee, and Madeline.
Visitation for Frederick will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hauss & Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 25700 Crocker Boulevard, Harrison Township, 48045.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or Operation Smile.
