HOFSTETTER, Ada - Passed away, Sunday, September 3, 2006, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 80. Dear mother of Carol Vollmer, David Hofstetter (Marcia Wassing) and James Hofstetter, all of Kitchener. Mother-in-law of James Strauss of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Kevin, Mark and Shane Davis, Shaun Strauss, Lisa and Melanie Hofstetter. Step-grandmother to Kevin and Sandra Brown. Ada will be missed by seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband Alymer Vollmer and second husband Lorne Hofstetter, her daughter Joyce Strauss (2003), grandson Chris Strauss (2006), parents Ben and Wilhelmina (nee Schenck) Diebold, and siblings Ethel Neff, Wilfred Diebold, Linda Gowling, Walter Diebold, Lillie Neeb, George Diebold and Fern Merenz (2006). Ada's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
