Funeral Mass for Joseph Frank “Frankie Joe” Markle will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Sterling, Oklahoma with Rev. Rayanna Narisetti, Pastor officiating.
Burial will follow in Sterling Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Joseph Frank “Frankie Joe” Markle, 78, Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Lawton. He was born on a farm south of Sterling, Oklahoma on April 10, 1941 to Joseph Oscar and Viola Louise (Brandt) Markle. He was the second of six siblings. He attended Catholic school and later graduated from Sterling High School. In his youth he loved cars and drag racing his old Mercury. Frankie Joe worked for Buster White Lincoln Mercury and Eddie Cordes, Inc. for 47 years. He loved working on his old cars, NASCAR racing and two stepping and waltzing with his family and friends. He was a good-hearted person and will be missed by all who knew him.
Frankie Joe is survived by his son, Blaine Markle and wife Chrisa of Ponca City, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Dathan C. Markle and McKenna Markle, five siblings, Patricia Ann Adams and husband Robert of Lawton, Oklahoma, James William Markle and wife Karla of Duncan, Oklahoma, Robert Dwight Markle and wife Connie of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Pamela Ebisch and husband Greg of Lawton, Oklahoma, Debra Lynn Glass and husband Phillip of Fletcher, Oklahoma and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
