Mrs. Leytha Brewer Mobley, age 82, a resident of West Fifth Street, Washington, died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home, conducted by Pastor David Thompson. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Nathan Evans, Timothy Evans, Timothy Frizzell, William Frizzell, Blake Rouse and Sammy Squires will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Mobley was born in Pitt County on June 17, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Linwood Elisha Brewer, Sr. and Genevieve Broadhurst Brewer.

Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and attended Peace Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard and shopping.

Mrs. Mobley was married to William Claire “Bill” Mobley, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister, Evelyn B. Blizzard of Greenville; brother, Linwood E. “Woody” Brewer, Jr. of Greenville; brother in law, Tommy C. Mobley of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by her son, Steve Mobley; two brothers, Jimmie Warren Brewer, Frank Lewis Brewer (Ret. Col. USMC) and sister, Linda Vee Calvert.
