Robbie Smith, 16, and Wyatt Smith, 14, sons of Ryan Smith and Sandra (Stevenson) Engle, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Robbie was born on January 17, 2003 in Bellefontaine. He was a junior at Benjamin Logan High School where he played baseball, football, and basketball. He enjoyed being outdoors and racing. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Wyatt was born January 24, 2005 in Bellefontaine. He was a freshman at Benjamin Logan High School where he played football, baseball, and ran track. He enjoyed being outdoors and playing video games. He most of all enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Robbie and Wyatt are survived by their parents, Ryan (Christine Cheney) Smith and Sandra (Josh) Engle, all of Bellefontaine; maternal grandparents, Bill and Bonnie Stevenson of Rushsylvania; paternal grandfather, Michael Smith; maternal step-grandmother, Sherri Engle; aunts and uncles, Krista (John) Belser, William “Bill” (Crystal) Stevenson, Nick Stevenson, Melissa Engle, and Ken (Rachel) Engle; and cousins, Tommy Belser, Brett Belser, Scottie Stevenson, Mary Anne Stevenson, Simon, Logan, Sam, and Cheyenne Engle.

They were preceded in death by their paternal grandmother, Karen Smith; a cousin, Rob Hayden; and maternal step-grandfather, John Engle.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5:30 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the First Church of God, 1000 East Brown Avenue in Bellefontaine, where a celebration of life service will begin at 5:30 pm. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Robbie and Wyatt’s memory, to the Benjamin Logan Athletic Department, 6609 State Route 47 East, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
