Warren- Helen M. Mosman, 93, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Canaan. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis R. Knox, Sr and Keith P. Mosman.

Mrs. Mosman was born in Goshen on December 26, 1925, daughter of the late James and Martha (Bishop) Sterling, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired employee of the Fitzgerald Manufacturing Company, retiring with 20 years of service, and from Nidec Corporation, retiring with 10 years of service. Mrs. Mosman enjoyed painting, gardening, and collecting dolls.

Survivors include two sons, Louis R. Knox, Jr., and his wife Beverly of Bristol and James S. Knox of Decatur, AL; six daughters, Edna H. Taricani, Mary I. Deperry, and Eleanor A. Whitehurst, all of Dunedin, FL, Kathleen M. Furnari and her husband Tony of Northport, FL, Marjorie A. Ashner of Clearwater, FL, and Betty A. Reading and her husband Harry B., III, of Torrington; two stepsons, Keith P. Mosman, Jr., of OK, and Michael Mosman and his wife Eileen of Torrington; 28 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mosman was predeceased by two sons, Frank E. Knox and Roy L. “Bud” Knox, and a stepson, William “Billy” Mosman.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Geer for the wonderful care shown to Helen during her stay.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
