Mike was a member of the American Legion and Southwest Iowa Theater Group and loved singing with various church and community groups. He spent the last few years of his professional career and most of his post-retirement life working and advocating on behalf of southwest Iowa economic development such as ethanol production and recreational trail projects. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1958, Iowa State University in 1962, and earned a law degree from the University of Iowa in 1964. Two years into his career as an attorney in New York City, he was drafted into the army and served honorably in Vietnam. He spent more than three decades practicing environmental law, including Presidential appointments to the Ash Council and Environmental Protection Agency and as a partner in private law firms.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife and parents, including his adoptive father, Ernie B. Nennemann, and brothers Pat Glenn, a former Sidney resident, and Bob Glenn, of Hamburg. He is survived by his two sons, Jason Glenn and Rory Glenn both of Sidney, brother Jim Glenn and sister-in-law Donna Kay Glenn of Sidney, sister-in-law Delores Glenn of Kansas City, MO, five grandchildren, Sam, Aiden, Katie, Leila and Jojo Glenn all of Sidney, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
