Timothy J. Garner, PhD November 13, 1963 to November 19,2019
Timothy J. Garner “Tim”, at the age of 56 passed away November 19th, 2019 at the family home with family by his side. Tim is a long time native of Clovis, California, but for the last 29 years Tim lived and worked in the Los Angeles area. Tim graduated from Clovis West High School in 1981. In 1988, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry/Physics and in 1990 completed his master’s degree in Chemistry. Tim received both degrees from California State University, Fresno. After years of education Tim decided to continue his education and proceeded to earn his Doctorate Degree in Analytical Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1992. Tim published Applied Spectroscopy in 1993 and Journal of Physical Chemistry in 1995. Tim was employed by Spectrum Laboratories, INC as a Pharmaceutical Chemist for the last 22 years. Co-workers and friends of Tim valued his extraordinary knowledge of Chemistry, testing and research skills but most of all valued his friendship. Tim believed in people and their abilities and believed in sharing his knowledge. Prior to working at Spectrum; Tim was a teaching and research assistant at the University of California Los Angeles.
Tim is survived by his parents Donald and Mary Garner of Clovis, sister, Waunema Earheart (Richard) of Clovis, brother Larry Garner (Teresa) of Fresno and his two Aunts Stella Messer (Handy) of Clovis and Bonnie Wagers of Pueblo Colorado. In addition, Tim is survived by more than 25 cousins, nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Larry Garner, Richard Earheart, Duane Earheart, Rob Earheart, Geoffrey Lampkin, Christian Lampkin and Brandon Earheart.
A Visitation for Timothy will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612.
A Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at Clovis Cemetery 305 North Villa Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612.
