On November 17, 2019 Retired Fire Chief Paul David Hawkins left this world to be with his beloved wife, Rita, who preceded him in death on August 26, 2013. He was the youngest of 9 children, six sisters and two brothers. Paul and his wife Rita had three children, Lisa (Antonio) Hawkins-Divieste, Paul (Pascale) Hawkins and Virginia (Allen) Pridmore.
He was also, preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Norris Hawkins, and his sisters Trula Housley, Mary Stinnett, Marie Laxton, Lena Mae Russell, Martha Ellen Gregory, his niece Sherry Housley, and his great-grandson Kazhem Paschel. He is survived by his three children mentioned above, his sister Dorothy Jean Thaler, grandchildren David Jack, Jonathan (Mia) Jack and Loren Jack, Megan (James) Hawkins-Kelleher, Emily Hawkins, Elizabeth (Beverly) Hawkins, Sydney Hawkins and Paul Hawkins III, Christopher (Shannon) Paschel, Geoffrey Paschel, Ryan Paschel, and Nicholas Paschel, and sixteen great grandchildren.
There will be a time of visitation held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 1:00-2:00pm at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services with Military Honors will begin at 2:00pm. Interment will take place on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00am in Barrancas National Cemetery.
