MARTIN, Dale Duane – of Millington, age 81, gained his wings on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Arbela Twp., with Military Honors. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Dale was born August 19, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Adam and Eda (Reinig) Martin. He grew up in Saginaw and graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 1956. Dale held the Pole Vault record for several years at Birch Run High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1956 to 1960. On May 12, 1972 he married the love of his life, Henrietta Swartz in Saginaw, Michigan. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2016. Dale owned and operated D & H Investments with his wife, Henrietta. He was a member of Community Lighthouse Church, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and the VFW Post #1452 in Clio. Dale enjoyed being with his wife traveling, riding motorcycles, attending church together, and spending time with his beloved family.
