Samuel Lukas Owen Reynolds was born September 19, 2000, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Karly Dawn Higgins Milner and William Shane Reynolds and passed away November 18, 2019, in Lexington.

He grew up in Morehead with his twin brother Eliot and was a 2018 graduate of Rowan County Senior High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Film Club and was a 2017 KY Governors Scholar and achieved a full year of credits from Morehead State University before graduating from high school. He had received the Presidential Scholarship to the University of Kentucky, where he was attending as a sophomore Biology Major. He worked as a Lab assistant in UK’s Department of Biology, working on insect colonies and genetic crosses.

Lukas loved spending time with his brother, family and friends, was a filmmaker and enthusiast, played guitar and acoustic bass and was a gifted singer and writer. He loved attending music concerts and the Lexington Comicon, bicycling, rollercoasters, fishing and canoeing. A lifelong UK Wildcats basketball fan, he had long ago set his goals to attending UK, and did just that. He had a tender heart and wanted to help others. He had planned to apply to the UK Dentistry program, donated blood many times at UK and MSU and enjoyed volunteering at the local animal shelter and the Soup Kitchen.

Lukas is survived by his loving parents, Karly Dawn (Jesse) Milner of Hebron, KY and William Shane Reynolds of Morehead; his twin brother Eliot Reynolds of Hebron; maternal grandparents Jenny and the late Brent Higgins of Menifee County; and paternal grandparents Bill and Loretta Reynolds of Olive Hill; his uncles Andy Higgins and Flynn (Marla) Reynolds; special cousins Owen and Izaya Reynolds; special girlfriend Leah Blair; special best pal Max Elam; and a host of friends and family who will cherish the time we had with him.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Mansfield. Interment will follow at the Kiser Cemetery in Olive Hill.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
