SHAW, EVELYN, 99, of Shepherdsville, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Wesley Manor. Mrs. Shaw was born November 25, 1906 to the late Thomas N. and Mabel Adams in Bullitt County. She was the widow of J. V. Shaw. She was a retired elementary school teacher for the Bullitt County School System where she had worked for over 40 years and a member of the Retired Teachers Association in Bullitt County. She was a graduate of the University of Louisville, a volunteer for the Red Cross and a member of Davidson Memorial United Methodist Church in Shepherdsville. Her sister, Wanda Bell, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, John T. Shaw of Dothan, AL; a granddaughter, Molly Britt Woodward of Bardstown; and two great-granddaughters, Brittany M. and Breanna Nicole Woodward, both of Bardstown. The funeral service for Mrs. Shaw will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 - 7 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
