Bobbie Joe Frazier, 78, of Princeton passed away on December 15, 2014 after a long illness. He graduated from Big Creek High School in Berwind, WV in 1954 and remained a devoted alum throughout his life, participating in numerous class reunion functions. He and Joyce were married on December 30, 1954 in Berwind, WV; they would have been married 60 years on December 30, 2014. He was an airman in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Bob and Joyce settled and raised their family in Princeton. He retired from Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) in 1998. He embraced retirement with great zeal. Always a ham radio enthusiast, he served as treasurer of the East River Amateur Radio Club for many years.

He volunteered in coordinating local emergency services and participated in numerous mock-disasters. He was also a member of the Mountain Circuit Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. Bob was a member of the Princeton First Assembly of God Church in Princeton. Those who were blessed to know him knew he could fix absolutely anything. He had a wonderful and unending sense of humor, and was deeply devoted to his wife and children. He was dearly loved and will be missed for many years to come.

He was born on March 31, 1936 in Josephine, VA to the late Lowell Frazier (1908-1995) and Lillian Draughn-Frazier (1909-1980). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Wayne Frazier (Deceased); and a sister, Violet Frazier-Sterns (Deceased).

He is survived by his wife, Bessie "Joyce" Wade-Frazier (B. 1936) whom he married on December 30, 1954 in Berwind, McDowell County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, McDowell County, WV, 1954, Page 221, Application Date: December 27, 1954); daughters, Ramona Frazier-Keys & husband Stacy Keys of Princeton, and Beth Frazier-Heath & husband Edward Heath of Chesapeake, VA; one granddaughter; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Rosemary Frazier-Starling & husband Bill Starling of Bluefield, VA.
