Mary Alice Alexander Bright, 77, died Nov. 17, 2019, at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery in Stewart, with Mike Stowell officiating. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today at Welch Funeral Home. Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bright was born April 6, 1942, to the late Dewey Alexander and Minnie Johnson Alexander. She was a member of Bluff Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmie Lee Alexander, Willie Alexander and W.T. “Shorty” Alexander. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Bright of Starkville; daughter, Deborah Weeks of Starkville; and one grandchild.
