Lisa Gail Cox Sweat Lee, 62, of Waycross died Monday (Nov. 18, 2019) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
She was born in Waycross to the late Otis Estes Cox, Sr. and Hazel Aline Howard Cox White Dixon.

Ms. Lee was a caretaker for the elderly and was a member of the Faith Outreach Ministries.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Wayne “Sam” Sweat;
step-fathers, Jacob Pierce White and William Gerald Dixon;
three brothers, infant George Kenneth Cox, Otis Estes Cox, Jr., Donald Hamilton Cox;
one sister, Shirley Jean Cox Harris.

Survivors include four children,
Misty Mercer and her husband Carl of Waycross,
Elizabeth Cox of Waycross,
Angela Coleman and her husband Bobby of Denver, CO,
Ronald Wayne Sweat, Jr., Waycross;
nine grandchildren,
Jeremy Mercer and his wife Cierra of Waycross, Zach Mercer and his wife Haleigh of Waycross, Jacob Mercer, US Marine Corps, Hawaii, Hannah Mercer of Waycross, Michael Gaona of Waycross, Mason Thompson of Waycross, Sammy and Aiden Coleman of Denver, CO, Callie Sweat of Waycross;
three great-grandchildren,
Matthew, Silas, and Ezra Mercer;

three sisters,
Joyce Cox Rowland and her husband Johnny of Waycross,
Barbara Cox Caudill of Jacksonville, FL,
Sandra Elaine Cox Thompson and her husband Eric of Waycross;
several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening (Nov. 19, 2019) from 6 – 8 pm at the home of Johnny and Joyce Rowland, 22 Grace Circle, Waycross.
A memorial service will be held Saturday morning (Nov. 23, 2019) at 11 am at Remnant Church.
