Hank was born in Massachusetts, but spent many years in Maui, Hawaii. He was an immensely popular figure in the fellowship community in Pattaya, Thailand. He was an upbeat man say those that knew him, and his signature song, "Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da, is still repeated by those that spent time around him.

His daily quotes heard often: "Happy, Joyous and Free. Love and tolerance is our code. We are not a glum lot. This is the greatest fellowship in the world, Bar None! We insist, we absolutely insist on having a good time. We have a design for living that works".

Some comments from friends. "I admire Hank in part because was upbeat, light-hearted" - China Mike. "He had a zest of live that I envied". - Bob from San Diego. "I could always count on Hank..." - Kathleen. "For me, he went out at the top of his game" - Anonymous.
