Services for Michael Lambert Strickland, age 68, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2019, in the sanctuary of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Don Hicks and Rev. Karl Haye will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Mr. Strickland died Monday, November 18, 2019.
Mike was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and attended Dublin First Church of the Nazarene for many years. He was previously employed in electrical maintenance at J. P. Stevens and was a member of the VFW. Mr. Strickland was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
Preceded him in death, was his wife, Lynette Strickland, and parents, W. L. and Nellie Baggett Strickland.
Survivors include his children, Temple (James) Hance, of Mt. Vernon, Chris (Chelen) Strickland, of Augusta, Tommy Willingham, of Plano, TX, Shannon (Chris) Summerlin, of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Nathan Hance, Rebecca (Devin) Jace, Anna Hance, Logan Strickland, Tanner Strickland, Alex Willingham, Kennedy Willingham, Samatha Summerlin, Rory Summerlin, Isabella Summerlin, Ashton Summerlin; brother, Eddie (Brenda) Strickland, Danny (Denise) Strickland; and the mother of his children, Ann Strickland, of Mt. Vernon.
Logan Strickland, Tanner Strickland, Nathan Hance, Devin Jace, Chad Odum, Tracy Strickland, and Chris Summerlin will serve as pallbearers.
