Jennifer Dawn (Pittman) Carr, age 39, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Kingsport, Tennessee.
She was born June 24, 1980 in Perth, Australia to Joseph and Sherrie (Chevreuil) Pittman. The Pittman family returned to the United States in 1984. Jennifer was a 1997 graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, VA.
She followed in her family’s military legacy by enlisting in the Army National Guard of the United States of America in 1997. She served proudly with the 229th military police company both in the US
and during deployment to Iraq. Jennifer was honorably discharged after sustaining injuries in Iraq.
After moving to Johnson City, Tennessee she enrolled at ETSU and graduated in 2010 with her BA in
Social Work.
She married Tobias Carr in 2008 and in 2009 she welcomed the light of her life, Lillian. While Jennifer
was always daddy’s little girl, she will be remembered always as being full of life and as the best mom
in the world.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Sherrie Lee (Chevreuil) Pittman; Brother, Phillip Wayne
Pittman.
She leaves behind her daughter, Lillian Blue Carr, age 10; Father, Joseph Dewey Pittman; Brother,
Anthony Brett Pittman; Grandmother, Georganna Chevreuil and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Anyone whose lives Jennifer touched are invited to the Mountain Home National Cemetery, 215
Hero’s Drive, Mountain Home, Tennessee, 37684 on November 15, 2019 for fellowship and a
celebration of her life.
In Lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Lillian Blue Carr at Greater Eastern Credit Union, PO Box
5130, Johnson City, TN 37602.
