She was a professional hair stylist who owned Carriage House Salon in Crestwood, Ky., for many years and a member of New Goshen Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Dewitt; a son, Brent Thompson; two brothers, Jewell and Gary Cook; and three sisters, Jean Kirchen and Delores and Donetta Cook.
Funeral: Sunday, July 15, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in Greenville Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville.
