Obituary for Mrs. Edna Earl Patterson
Edna Earl Patterson was born on November 8, 1946 to the union
of Charlie and Wardean Carter in Oak Ridge, Tenneesee. Edna
whom the family affectionately called, "ltcy", moved to Milwaukee,
Wisconsin with her parents. She accepted Christ at an early age and
was a member of Greater Galilee Baptist Church. Edna received her
formal education within the Milwaukee Public School System. She
graduated from Riverside High School-Iliast Division H.S. 1964).
On December 24, 1968 Edna "ltcy" Carter married Frank James
Patterson Jr. Their union was blessed with two sons.
Edna was employed by Johnson Controls, Ine. as an assembly
line worker until her retirement. From an early age she was a
natural seamstress. In her leisure time she enjoyed home decorating,
gardening, grilling, and baking. Her passions were traveling and
shopping. "ltcy" had the gift of gab, she enjoyed good conversations
and would tell it like it was. She loved spending time with family
and friends.
Edna "ltcy" departed this life and was called home to rest on
January 4,2019. She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Frank
J. Patterson, [r, parents, Charles and Wardean Carter; brother,
Charles Carter; sister, Evette Childs; and parents-in-law, Frank J.
Sr. and Coethel Patterson.
Edna "ltcy" leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Timothy
Christopher and Craig Scott Patterson; eight grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tenny Green and Peggy Stewart;
sister-in-law, Rita Patterson; two brother-in-laws, Don (Diane)
Patterson of Milwaukee, WI. and Clark D Patterson of Dallas, TX;
and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
