Johnny Lynn Reed, 83, of Huntsville, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, in Fayetteville.

He was born Friday, Aug. 21, 1936, in Madison County, to Ellhannan Searles and Only Cain Reed.

He married Daisy Mae Bowen on Dec. 10, 1958, and together they were parents to two daughters. He was a farmer and drove a delivery truck for Kraft, Huntsville Lumber and Titan Propane. Johnny loved fishing and hunting.

Johnny was predeceased by his wife, Daisy Mae Reed; his parents; one brother, James Reed; one sister, Dixie Jones; two grandsons, Craig Clark and Matthew Clark; and four nephews, Chester Jones, Jerry Jones, Charles Jones and David Jones.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Daniel Sams of Huntsville, and Lisa and Randy Clark of Huntsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Anna Sue and Leon Broyles of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Amy Sams, John Sams, Kristan Clark and Dylan Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Sams and Makinna McElyea.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Brashears Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Brashears Funeral Home, with Glen Faulkner officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Haney, Brady Cotton, Bailey Cotton, Brandon Morris, David Parker and Blake Ferguson.

Interment will immediately follow services at Huntsville Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
