Obituary for Mr. Donald Lee Shaffer
Mr. Donald Lee Shaffer, age 69, of Ranger, GA, passed away on Saturday morning, November 16, 2019.

Mr. Shaffer was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on March 12, 1950 to parents, the late Mr. Clyde Lee Shaffer and Mrs. Eleanor Joan Artman Shaffer.

Mr. Shaffer married his beloved wife Dorothy Jean Somerset Shaffer and spent many happy years by her side until his passing. A member of the armed forces, Mr. Shaffer served our country as a supervisor in the United States Army. Following his departure from the Army, Mr. Shaffer settled down and spent most of his time with his family and enjoying the outdoors. An avid hunter, camper, and fisherman, Mr. Shaffer also loved cars—especially Mustangs. In his spare time, he loved attending gun and knife shows, riding his tractor, and just being outdoors.

Mr. Shaffer is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Jean Shaffer; children, Diahanna (Joseph) Cooper and Douglas (Ginger Mayo) Shaffer; step-daughter, Sheila Hall; mother, Eleanor Shaffer; sister, Sherry (Barry) Heddinger; extended generations.

Mr. Shaffer is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Clyde Lee Shaffer.

A Celebration of Life to honor Mr. Shaffer will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel. In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Shaffer will be cremated following the service.
