Anna “Kay” Hunter, 91 of Pontiac, IL died Sunday November 17, 2019 at 6:06AM at Tjardes Health Care Center at Evenglow Lodge.
Private family services will be held at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, IL. With Rev. Tom Goodell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pontiac, IL. There will be no visitation. Memorials in Anna’s name may be made to First United Methodist Church-Pontiac or Evenglow Lodge.
Anna was born on August 1, 1928 in Owensboro, KY a daughter of William Keith and Mary Grace (Perkins) Mattingly. She married Fred W. Hunter on June 7, 1947 in Owensboro, Ky. He preceded her in death on February 29, 1996. Anna is survived by her four children: William (Jane) Hunter of Cedar Falls, IA; Norma (Mark) Francis of Pontiac, IL, Connie (Dennis) Snyder of Pontiac, IL and Sharon (Kevin) Carls of Pontiac, IL; eight grandchildren: Bradley Hunter, Adam (Sara) Hunter, Julie (Ryan) VanDuzor, Nicole (Matthew) Bozarth, Ross Graves, Brian (Lindsay) Fearman, Emily (Joey) Bell and Amanda Carls; two brothers: Gilbert Mattingly of Whitesville, KY and David Mattingly of Maryville, TN. Anna was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one sister in infancy and three brothers.
Anna was educated in Owensboro, KY schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church-Pontiac, IL.
