Peggy Kathleen Hawkins was the youngest child of mother Virginia Adele (Knowles) Rynearson and her third husband Richard Earl Rynearson and assumed born in the Portland Metro area of Oregon. (Although it is more likely that Peggy was the daughter of first husband Robert Jefferson Montgomery.) In 1960, "Adele" married her third husband Leonard Frank Jones, and both Peggy and her sister Michele were adopted using the Jones surname and attended and graduated from West Linn High School, OR.
Peggy was married twice; to Jerome Schmidt (1976) and Tony Hawkins (1986) with no children. She is survived by her sister Michelle (Jones) Ross and brother Pat (Montgomery) Lawrence and several nieces and nephews.
