Issie was born on January 30, 1933 in Adams, Minnesota. She was born on the farm where she was raised on. She was named after her grandmother, Isabelle Olson Amble.

Issie attended school in Adams and graduated from High School in 1951.

Issie was a person who would make the extra effort to help people. She was an active and good hearted person who loved to give to her many friends and her family.

Issie attended two years of college and then worked several years as an administrator in the medical field. She lived many years in Hopkins, Minnesota.

She passed away on July 15, 2006 at the Fairview-Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota. She died peacefully after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Her ashes were spread on her parents’ grave site at the Little Cedar Lutheran Church cemetery in Adams, Minnesota and the creek nearby.

At the time of her death, she was survived by: daughter Jann Bergquist Marcum and her family; brother Bernard J. Hukee, Jr and his wife Donis; sister Donnis Hukee Allen and her husband Bill; sister-in-law Phyllis Winchell her husband Donnie; step children: Larry (Sharon) Bourne, Sherry (Don) Conaway, Deb (Tim) Christopherson, Janelle (Jim) Clarke and Roxanne; step-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews; many treasured friends, especially the Golden Girls.

Issie was preceded in death by: parents, Bernard, Sr. and Ella Hukee; former husbands, Ken Bergquist and Dale Bourne.

Issie touched many people and sadly is missed by her family and friends.

Isabelle was cremated and her ashes were spread over the Hukee plot at Little Cedar Cemetery.
