Marilyn Marie Duncan of Fort Smith, Arkansas was born July 25, 1953 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Milburn C. “Pete” and Modena (Hayes) Duncan and passed away November 17, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 66.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Milburn C. “Pete” Duncan. She was a 1971 graduate of Heavener High School. Marilyn was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and attended services at Rye Hill Baptist Church. She attended Oklahoma University, and then received her degree in Pharmacy at Southwestern University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Marilyn went on to get her Pharm D from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas for 34 years and Sparks Hospital for 10 years. Marilyn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer and Brother Brock Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in Heavener Memorial Park in Heavener, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Rusty Owen, Keith Hayes, Jonathan Hayes, David Grubbs, David Neal and Bobby Mead
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
