Dana Royce Cook, 64, Fargo, North Dakota passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

He was born on May 22, 1955 in New Mexico. He attended Dickinson High School before enlisting in the US Army in 1972 where he earned his GED. Dana was stationed in Ft. Carson, Colorado and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Qualification Badge with Rifle and Grenade Bar. He was honorably discharged in 1974 and returned to North Dakota.

Dana worked on the pipeline, drove big rigs, and worked on several ranches, one where he met a beautiful stallion named Jet.

On October 10, 2017 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Susan Elizabeth Butsch, at Hope Lutheran Church – South Campus, in Fargo.

Dana enjoyed fixing things, painting, playing Candy Crush Saga, cooking, cuddling, and fishing for walleye. Susan was his primary caregiver.

He is survived by his faithful wife, Susan, whom he lovingly called "Poo," and their 17 lb cat, Walter.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Jefferson "Jeff" Cook.
