Aaron Lamar Dixon, 18, of Taylorsville, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2012 in an automobile accident. He was born Feb. 3, 1994 in Augusta to Troy Lamar Dixon of Sardis and Catherine Gaither Dixon of Taylorsville, NC.

Mr. Dixon was in the 12th grade at Alexander Central High School. He was also a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Thomas Lamar Dixon; paternal grandmother, Nora Flakes Munger; and maternal grandfather, Billy James Gaither.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two half sisters, Melissa Dixon and her husband Christopher Crowell of Roan Mountain, TN, and Stephanie Smith and her husband Talmadge of Cleveland, GA; maternal grandmother, Jean Price of Statesville, NC; and god mother, Robin Somers of Statesville. Other survivors include an uncle, Scott Foster of Taylorsville; aunt and uncle, Sylvia and Henry Glisson of Girard; aunts, Mamie Jo Davis of Sardis, Mary Ratliff of Augusta, Martha Robinson of Martinez, and Grace Kennedy and Becky Little, both of Statesville; two stepfathers, Charles Foster of MI and Mickey Daniels of the home.

A memorial service was conducted 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Rocky Face Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Dula officiating. The family received friends from 5-6:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
