Matthew B. Douglas, 34, of Dayton passed away unexpectedly April 1, 2018.

Matt was born in Grove City, Ohio to David and Carol (Keith) Douglas. He attended school in the Westfall district and graduated from St. Charles Prep School. While he was at St. Charles he participated in class plays and musicals. He took great joy in, and was very skilled at, playing challenging and quirky characters. Matt later attended Wright State University and served in the U.S. Navy for three years. He took great pride in his job as a professional caregiver.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Harlan and Ruth Douglas, and Richard F. and Martha Keith. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Margaux Patel; brother-in-law, Ryan Patel; nieces, Lila and Bridget; nephew, Cormac; and partner, Shannon Sharon and step-daughter, Lucy McDonald.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. Charles Preparatory School, 2010 E. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio
