Following graduation from Highland High School in 1973, Charles worked as a TV repairman, a craft he perfected until the time of his retirement. He was a lifelong member of Chester Baptist Church where he proudly served as a Deacon. Charles was also a dedicated musician; he taught himself how to play the organ at the age of 10 and enjoyed playing every day.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Ethel Atkinson, and brother, Carmen Atkinson, Charles is survived by his brother, Clarence (Deborah) Atkinson of Fredericktown, Ohio and sister, Norena (Les) Hall of Lexington, North Carolina.
Services will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018, 1 p.m., at the Chester Baptist Church in Chesterville, Ohio. Pastor Charles White officiating.
