Mary Ellen McGill Richardson was born September 10, 1940 in Lindale, Texas to John Jesse and Dollie (Richardson) McGill. Ellen was a lifelong resident of Smith County and was a member of the Christ Gospel Church in Tyler. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, sharing her faith, and was a loving, wife, mother, and homemaker. Ellen worked over the last several years as a caregiver to several in their last stages of life. She was gifted in touching people and making them feel loved and cared for. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents,husband Billy Joe Richardson, son Joe Richardson in 2009, and grandson Gaaron Hicks in 2009.
